Resumen

Objetivos: Se realiza una revisión bibliográfica de la frecuencia, cuadro clínico y examen físico a realizar en las úlceras plantares. Desarrollo: Se realiza una revisión donde se destaca la prevalencia de las úlceras perforantes plantares, en distintos lugares del mundo, resaltando que la padecen el 15 % de todos los diabéticos, así como las manifestaciones clínicas que se presentan en estos enfermos. Se destaca como realizar el examen físico en estos pacientes para determinar las áreas de úlcera o los lugares plantares con posibilidades que estas aparezcan. Conclusiones: Se realiza una revisión de la frecuencia de úlceras plantares, cuadro clínico, así como el examen físico a llevar a cabo.
